Requesting a public document

Everyone has the right to access public documents unless they are protected by confidentiality. A confidentiality assessment is therefore made in each individual case before a public document is disclosed.

Anyone who requests a document is entitled to receive a copy of the document for a fee. The fees are regulated by the Fee Regulation (1992:191).

What is meant by a public document is stated in Chapter 2. Freedom of the Press Act (1949:105).

Request for - Disclosure of a public document

When requesting a public document, an order stating the desired document must be submitted to Topbostäder AB.

The easiest way to place an order is to fill in the form "Request document". You can also place your order by sending it in writing to us at Topbostäder AB Birkarlagatan 12, 982 36 Gällivare.

The order must clearly state:
-Which document is requested
- Desired method of delivery of the document, e-mail*, letter post or collection from the reception
- How the fee is to be paid by invoice or deposit to a bank account.

*Documents containing personal data are not sent by e-mail but only by post or collected from our reception.

Fees and charges

Anyone who requests a document is entitled to receive a copy of the document for a fee. The fees are regulated by the Fee Regulation (1992:191).

Fees can be paid by invoice or by bank transfer.

The fee is per page plus any postage. The fee per page applies equally regardless of how it is delivered. The fee is per page and not per paper, so a double-sided printout counts as two pages.

The fee is normally charged for orders of more than nine pages.

Fee per page
1-9 pages: No fee
Page 10: 50 SEK
For each page beyond that: 2 SEK/page

In some cases, e.g. in the case of repeated small orders, it may be decided that the fee of SEK 50 should be paid for pages 1-10 and then SEK 2 per page.

If a special format or a more expensive paper than normal is requested, a higher fee than the prescribed one may be charged to cover the actual cost.
